Group Chief Financial Officer

About the role

The Group Chief Financial Officer (CFO) is a senior executive member of 1291 Group, responsible for shaping and executing the global financial strategy, ensuring financial strength, and supporting the company’s growth initiatives across multiple jurisdictions.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and implement a global financial strategy aligned with the Group’s long‑term vision.
• Lead group‑wide financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis across all entities.
• Drive M&A activities, including due diligence, structuring, financing, and post‑deal integration.
• Manage relationships with investors, banks, and other financial stakeholders.
• Ensure robust financial governance, internal controls, and risk‑management frameworks.
• Oversee regulatory compliance in Europe, the Middle East, Asia and the Americas.
• Optimize capital structure and funding strategies to support growth and acquisitions.
• Build, lead and develop a high‑performing global finance organization.
• Provide clear, actionable financial insights to the Board and executive team.

Required profile

• Advanced degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; MBA preferred.
• Professional qualification such as CPA, CFA or ACCA strongly preferred.
• Minimum 15 + years of senior financial leadership experience, preferably in financial services or insurance.
• Proven track record in M&A and corporate finance.
• Extensive experience operating in international, multi‑jurisdictional environments.
• Deep understanding of regulatory frameworks (e.g., DIFC/DFSA, FCA, EU).
• Senior professionals aged 50 + are encouraged to apply.
