Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager

About the role

Taurus, a FINMA‑regulated securities firm based in Geneva, is seeking a hands‑on Group Financial Controller & Risk Manager to support its rapid international expansion. Reporting to the CFO/CRO, you will ensure accurate group‑level financial reporting, regulatory compliance, and robust risk management across all subsidiaries.

Key responsibilities

• Manage financial accounting, bookkeeping and client‑account reporting for the entire group.
• Oversee management accounting, performance monitoring and the end‑to‑end consolidation process for all Taurus entities.
• Coordinate with subsidiaries’ external accountants to eliminate intragroup transactions and liaise with auditors on statutory accounts.
• Lead regulatory reporting, including capital adequacy, liquidity rules and FINMA/SNB statistics.
• Monitor market, operational, credit/counterparty and liquidity risks; conduct regular risk controls and market‑surveillance checks.
• Perform due diligence on correspondent banks, trading venues and digital‑asset products.
• Drive the risk control self‑assessment (RCSA) process and support the operational risk framework.
• Coordinate ISAE audits and execute thematic risk reviews.

Required profile

• University degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics or related field; CPA, ACCA or equivalent is a strong asset.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in audit or finance, preferably within a regulated environment.
• Deep knowledge of Swiss regulatory requirements (FINMA) and Swiss GAAP reporting standards.
• Strong understanding of risk‑management frameworks and capital‑adequacy rules.
• Excellent organizational and communication skills, with ability to work across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
• Fluency in English and French.
