About the role
The Guest Services Officer is the friendly face of our hotel, responsible for ensuring every guest feels welcomed and valued. You will actively listen to guest concerns, provide timely assistance, and help create memorable experiences.
Key responsibilities
- Greet guests and respond to inquiries with a positive attitude.
- Listen to and resolve guest issues, escalating when necessary.
- Handle cash transactions, understand US currency and exchange rates.
- Operate office equipment such as telephones, computers and copy machines.
- Communicate with department heads and shipboard employees to negotiate resolutions.
Required profile
- Minimum one‑year experience in a customer‑contact role within the hotel or related industry.
- At least one year of cash‑handling experience.
- Strong hospitality mindset, sense of humor and people‑oriented attitude.
- Clear spoken and written English; additional language skills (e.g., Spanish, French, German, Italian, Portuguese, Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Swedish, Norwegian, Danish) are a plus.
Required skills
- Basic office equipment operation (telephone, computer, copier).
- Cash handling and familiarity with US currency.
