Hardware Electronics Engineer

About the role

Join Boschung Mecatronic AG’s Hardware R&D team to design and develop cutting‑edge electronic hardware and embedded software for surface‑condition detection systems. You will work from concept through validation to industrialisation, contributing to next‑generation products.

Key responsibilities

• Design and develop electronic hardware and embedded software for new products.
• Translate customer and product requirements into technical specifications and validation plans.
• Create circuit schematics and printed circuit board (PCB) layouts that meet quality, reliability and manufacturability standards.
• Test, validate and integrate hardware solutions with embedded software.
• Maintain existing products and qualify alternatives for obsolete components.
• Document designs, conduct design reviews and ensure traceability throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with software, product management, production, sourcing, sales and after‑sales teams.

Required profile

• Experienced, hands‑on hardware electronics engineer with strong expertise in electronics and PCB design.
• Proven ability to take projects from concept to industrialisation.
• Detail‑oriented with a focus on quality, reliability and compliance with industry standards.
