Head of Finance (CFO) – Fintech Payments

About the role

We are looking for a strategic Head of Finance to lead the financial function of a fast‑growing fintech payments company. You will own the full spectrum of financial reporting, audit coordination, tax planning and internal controls across all entities in the holding.

Key responsibilities

• Consolidate P&L, balance sheet and cash‑flow statements for all entities.
• Oversee financial and management accounting, ensuring compliance with Cyprus regulations and IFRS.
• Coordinate the annual audit process with external auditors in Cyprus.
• Drive implementation and migration to a new accounting/reporting system, automating and optimizing financial processes.
• Lead tax planning aligned with corporate strategy and local rules.
• Develop and maintain internal controls, financial policies and procedures.
• Supervise local finance teams across entities to guarantee data consistency and quality.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance or accounting experience in fintech, payments or high‑transaction‑volume environments.
• Strong knowledge of Cyprus accounting, tax and regulatory frameworks.
• Expertise in audit coordination, financial reporting systems and automation tools.
• Solid understanding of revenue models based on payment flows, commissions and transactional income.
• Excellent analytical and communication skills, able to present insights to the Board.
• Professional qualification such as ACCA, ACA or equivalent is a strong advantage.
• Fluency in Russian and English.
