Head of Global Access Scientific Communications

About the role

The Senior Director, Access Scientific Communications leads the global strategy for Real‑World Evidence (RWE) and Health Economics & Outcomes Research (HEOR) communications, translating complex evidence into high‑impact scientific content that supports market access for Takeda’s medicines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a global communications strategy across RWE/HEOR and market access, integrating publications, congress materials, digital channels and evidence narratives.
• Lead global publication planning, overseeing manuscripts, abstracts, posters and oral presentations while ensuring compliance with Good Publication Practice and regulatory standards.
• Partner with Medical, Market Access, Clinical Development and Commercial teams to create coherent evidence narratives for HTA, pricing and reimbursement discussions.
• Leverage AI, analytics, automation and digital technologies to improve content planning, data visualization, digital amplification and impact measurement.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in a scientific or healthcare discipline (Doctorate preferred); advanced training in HEOR, epidemiology or outcomes research is strongly preferred.
• 11+ years of experience in pharma/biotech, CRO, consulting or academia with a focus on scientific communications, RWE/HEOR or market access.
• Proven ability to lead cross‑functional teams in a complex, matrixed global organization.
