Head of Global Evidence Generation

About the role

Novartis is seeking a visionary leader to shape the future of evidence generation worldwide. As Head of Global Evidence Generation, you will define and execute integrated evidence strategies across the product lifecycle, with a focus on Phase IV, non‑interventional, and real‑world evidence programs.

Key responsibilities

• Design and deliver Integrated Evidence Plans that are high‑quality, timely, and impactful.
• Drive innovation by embedding advanced analytics, artificial intelligence, and data‑science approaches into evidence generation.
• Provide governance and vision for evidence planning across therapeutic areas, ensuring consistency and scientific rigor.
• Lead a global, high‑performing evidence organization, fostering an inclusive culture of accountability and excellence.
• Collaborate closely with clinical development, value & access, and health‑economics teams to align evidence strategies with business priorities.
• Represent Novartis with regulators, academia, and professional bodies to influence the evolution of evidence generation.

Required profile

• Advanced degree (MD, PhD, PharmD or equivalent) in life sciences, public health or related field.
• 10+ years of experience in pharmaceutical, clinical research, healthcare or academia, including global leadership roles.
• Proven track record in designing and executing interventional, non‑interventional, and real‑world evidence studies.
• Demonstrated ability to apply AI and technology at scale to accelerate evidence delivery.
