About the role

Lead the Health, Safety and Environment function for the Generator Circuit Breaker factory in Switzerland, shaping a safe, compliant and sustainable workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Provide leadership and coaching to the HSE team and one direct report.
• Integrate HSE considerations into daily business decisions and processes.
• Monitor compliance with Swiss regulations, Hitachi Energy policies and ISO 14001/45001 standards.
• Implement, maintain and improve the HSE Management System and governance processes.
• Lead audits, inspections and incident investigations, ensuring corrective actions are closed.
• Support projects, facility modifications and investments with risk assessments and expert guidance.
• Oversee contractor safety management and enforce risk controls on site.
• Track performance indicators and provide management with insights.

Required profile

• 5+ years in a managerial HSE role within manufacturing, industrial or energy environments.
• Certified HSE professional under Swiss legislation.
• Strong leadership and stakeholder influencing skills.
• Fluent in English and German, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• ISO 14001 and ISO 45001 implementation and auditing.
• Swiss HSE legislation knowledge.
• Risk assessment, incident investigation and root‑cause analysis.
• HSE management system development and continuous improvement.
