HSE Specialist (m/w/d) - 6 Months Temporary, Project-Based

About the role

Mondelēz International is looking for an HSE Specialist (m/w/d) for a 6-month temporary, project-based assignment at the Toblerone plant in Bern. You will be the allocated HSE Specialist for projects involving new lines and systems, supporting project teams in ensuring smooth transitions, process development and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders. The goal is to drive a culture of zero incidents and an optimum environmental footprint.

Key responsibilities

• Assist and lead the cultural transformation of HSE to help the plant achieve zero accidents and incidents.
• Coordinate and oversee the implementation of all health and safety programs and processes within the allocated project scope.
• Take part in investigations to close out non-conformances and follow up on them, developing resolution systems based on root cause analysis.
• Provide health and safety expertise for the plant on all new projects and change management activities.
• Maintain an up-to-date incident reporting system, help investigate incidents with the HSE pillar team and safety committee, and drive corrective actions to eliminate root causes and reoccurrence.
• Develop technical guidance programs to identify and remove physical hazards.

Required profile

• Experience in environmental health and safety, with completed training in areas such as OSHA, EPA and DNREC.
• Experience with safety and/or environmental technical standards.
• Fluent English is a must; German is a nice to have.
• Knowledge of regulatory reports and compliance, including experience with ISO, is an advantage.

This is a fixed-term 6-month role within a regional business model managed by Mondelēz Europe GmbH, Switzerland. No relocation support is available.
