Human Resources Intern: Outreach and Talent Acquisition

About the role

The United Nations Office at Geneva is seeking a proactive Human Resources Intern to support outreach and talent acquisition activities within the Vacancy Management Unit. The role focuses on leveraging digital tools and creative communication to promote UN Geneva as an employer of choice and to help meet diversity and inclusion targets.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct research on diverse HR topics and prepare background material for outreach initiatives.
• Assist in designing, organizing and managing data collection and analysis to support recruitment strategies.
• Create visual concepts and data‑driven insights using tools such as Power BI and Excel.
• Monitor social‑media analytics, propose improvements, and explore AI‑generated tools for workflow efficiency.
• Develop and disseminate outreach content on selected platforms, establishing partnerships with UN agencies, funds and programmes.

Required profile

• Enrolled in or having completed a graduate or final‑year undergraduate programme (Bachelor’s, Master’s or Ph.D.).
• Fluency in English; knowledge of French or another UN official language is desirable.
• Demonstrated ability to use innovative approaches in HR and outreach.
