Hygiene Officer

About the role

Join Haleon’s QC Microbiology team in Nyon as a Hygiene Officer, ensuring hygiene and cleanliness zoning requirements are consistently applied to product and personnel flows. You will support microbiology laboratory excellence and help reduce manufacturing process microbiology risks.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate microbiological issues related to production activities and the production environment.
• Implement preventive and corrective action plans for hygiene and environmental issues.
• Monitor and analyse trends in cleanliness zones and process utilities, providing feedback to improve quality and performance.
• Perform microbial qualification monitoring for new equipment, utilities, and rooms.
• Write and update internal microbiology and hygiene standards, train personnel, and conduct self‑inspections.
• Participate in audits, inspections and remediation plans, ensuring compliance with GMP and regulatory requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering or university diploma specialized in microbiology, hygiene/environmental quality.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent French (oral & written) and confirmed English proficiency.
• Strong analytical capabilities and customer‑oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Technical microbiology knowledge.
• GMP and cGMP compliance experience.
• Understanding of Swissmedic, EU, ICH and Pharmacopeia standards.
• Ability to establish internal microbiology standards.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases).
