Hygiene Officer – QC Microbiology

About the role

Haleon is seeking a Hygiene Officer to join its QC Microbiology team in Nyon. You will ensure hygiene and cleanliness zoning requirements are applied consistently across product and personnel flows, supporting laboratory excellence and risk reduction.

Key responsibilities

• Investigate microbiological issues in production, initiate preventive and corrective actions, and monitor cleanliness zones and utilities.
• Perform microbial qualification for new equipment, utilities, and rooms, and support cleaning validation projects.
• Write and update internal microbiology and hygiene standards, train personnel, and conduct self‑inspections and audits.
• Maintain compliance with GMP, Swissmedic, EU regulations, and Haleon HSE requirements.

Required profile

• Engineering or university degree specialized in microbiology, hygiene, or environmental quality.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant experience.
• Fluent French and strong English communication skills.
• Good knowledge of Pharmacopeia and ICH quality management standards.

Required skills

• Technical microbiology expertise.
• GMP and regulatory compliance knowledge.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, databases).
