Industrial Vision & Software Engineer

About the role

Oratek is looking for an Industrial Vision & Software Engineer to design and deliver next‑generation intelligent industrial machines. You will work on the full lifecycle of vision solutions, from feasibility studies to commissioning on real production equipment.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer requirements, select optics, cameras and lighting, and design complete 2D/3D vision solutions for inspection, measurement and guidance.
• Develop robust image‑processing and AI‑based inspection algorithms, as well as modern web applications for machine configuration, monitoring and operator interfaces.
• Integrate vision software with PLCs, robots and other automation equipment, and provide testing, diagnostics and validation tools.
• Commission, tune and troubleshoot prototype and production machines, and define validation procedures for FAT.

Required profile

• 3–7 years of experience developing industrial vision systems for custom machinery or automation.
• Hands‑on experience with Keyence, Cognex, HALCON or equivalent vision hardware.
• Strong understanding of optics, illumination and image acquisition.
• Fluent English and ability to work autonomously in a multidisciplinary team.
