About the role

This full‑time position is based in the Medicine Service H4 of the Hospital of Sion. The successful candidate will act as a practitioner‑trainer, delivering practical education to nursing students and supervising learners from other health‑care programmes.

Key responsibilities

• Provide hands‑on training to HES‑SO nursing students.
• Supervise and mentor students from secondary or other health‑care degrees.
• Promote reflective practice and quality of care among trainees.
• Conduct assessments, evaluations and self‑evaluations of learner progress.
• Collaborate with the medical team to ensure safe and effective patient care.

Required profile

• Tertiary nursing diploma (general care) recognised by the Swiss Red Cross.
• Post‑graduate certificate as a practitioner‑trainer (or commitment to obtain it within one year of start).
• Minimum two years of professional nursing experience (at least 80 % FTE).
• Strong personal organisation, autonomy and initiative.
• Competence in reflective practice and pedagogical evaluation.
• Ability to promote and develop high‑quality nursing care.
• Proficiency with computer tools and general office software.

• Computer literacy and use of standard office applications (e.g., Microsoft Office).
