Intern - VAT, Customs (Indirect Tax) Advisory & Transformation

About the role

EY's Indirect Tax team in Geneva is looking for an intern to join its advisory and transformation practice. You will develop your tax knowledge based on your university studies by taking part in national and international mandates on indirect taxation (VAT, customs duties and other indirect taxes), working in multidisciplinary teams on complex entrepreneurial and tax issues.

Key responsibilities

• Take part in prestigious national and international mandates in indirect taxation (VAT, customs duties and other indirect taxes)
• Contribute to innovative solutions for complex entrepreneurial and tax issues in collaboration with experts from different sectors
• Develop your technical skills within a young and dynamic team
• Benefit from continuous in-house training and support for the training of qualified tax experts

Required profile

• A recognized diploma in economics and/or law (having both is a strong asset) or equivalent (master's, LLM or similar)
• Strong interest in Swiss and international taxation, especially VAT and customs duties; first experience or an internship in tax or tax technology is an asset
• Excellent English and French; German is an advantage
• Analytical mindset, curiosity, agility and a growth-oriented approach

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Office, particularly Excel and PowerPoint
• Familiarity with AI tools and automation workflows
