International Accounting & Reporting Director

About the role

The International Accounting & Reporting Director will lead financial reporting and accounting across global manufacturing operations, HR accounting, fixed assets, lease accounting and compliance. Reporting to the International Head of Financial Reporting & Accounting, the role is based in Fribourg with significant international travel.

Key responsibilities

• Lead financial reporting and accounting for international manufacturing plants, including balance sheet preparation.
• Oversee HR accounting, fixed assets, assets under construction, lease accounting and compliance across the region.
• Prepare and lead quarterly International Balance Sheet reviews with senior finance leadership.
• Act as the senior technical accounting reference, providing guidance on complex IFRS matters.
• Coordinate governance of the International Balance Sheet and manage unusual accounting matters across countries.
• Support M&A projects, reorganisations and finance transformation initiatives.

Required profile

• 15+ years in financial reporting, group or corporate accounting, or technical accounting.
• CPA, Chartered Accountant or equivalent qualification.
• Strong IFRS and technical accounting expertise with experience in complex accounting judgments.
• Background in audit (preferably Big Four) and experience in large multinational, listed companies.
• Proven leadership of accounting teams in international, matrix environments.
• Fluent English; Swiss or EU nationality.
