Internship in Mechanical and System Simulations for High Voltage Circuit Breakers

About the role

Join an innovative engineering team developing next‑generation SF6‑free high‑voltage circuit breakers. You will gain hands‑on experience with mechanical and system simulations, measurements, and advanced engineering tools while being mentored by experienced professionals.

Key responsibilities

• Support the development of SF6‑free circuit breakers through detailed simulations.
• Perform system simulations to inform design decisions.
• Pre‑ and post‑process simulation models and results.
• Analyse test data and prepare simulation input files.
• Use and further develop internally established simulation tools.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary project teams.

Required profile

• Enrolled Master’s student or recent graduate in Physics, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• Basic knowledge of mechanical and electrical simulation applications.
• Understanding of mechanics and material strength; experience with ABAQUS or similar FEM code is advantageous.
• Familiarity with Modelica language and Dymola is advantageous.
• Strong programming skills, especially in Python.
• Fluent written and spoken English and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
