Internship: PD Medical Affairs Compliance & Process Excellence (NIS & Digital Workspace)

About the role

Roche's Product Development Medical Affairs (PDMA) Process and Compliance Excellence Team is looking for a 12-month internship in Basel. The internship focuses on Non-Interventional Studies (NIS) process optimization and harmonization, regulatory standards (GVP, GPP, MDR), stakeholder engagement, and digital content migration and workspace redesign. You will lead and support projects that streamline clinical study documentation and modernize digital compliance tools.

Key responsibilities

• Develop unified NIS protocol templates, Informed Consent Form (ICF) templates and Clinical Study Report (CSR) templates across non-interventional study designs.
• Consolidate medical device wording and study design variations into a single companion guide covering different study types.
• Align templates and guidance with regulatory frameworks such as GVP, GPP and MDR.
• Engage cross-divisional stakeholders to gather input, ensure alignment and promote adoption of harmonized documentation standards.
• Lead the migration, revision and redesign of the NIS gSite/intranet environment within Microsoft enterprise solutions.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled at a university (Bachelor's or Master's), or finished studies within 12 months before the start date; ideally in Life Sciences, Data Sciences, Business Administration or a related field.
• Team player with strong communication, self-reflection and assertiveness skills; open-minded, flexible and proactive.
• Project management and analytical skills, with a disciplined approach to quality and documentation.
• Fluent in spoken and written English.
• Not suitable for completing a Master's thesis.

Required skills

• Advanced knowledge of Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of AI tools.
• Nice to have: previous work experience, preferably in an international business environment, and an interest in the pharmaceutical industry.
