IT Desktop Support Technician – Onsite (Switzerland)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced IT Desktop Support Technician to provide on‑site infrastructure support at our offices in Lausanne (and occasional work in Zug). The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues while ensuring compliance with warranty and security policies.

Key responsibilities

• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems on desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
• Perform desktop imaging, application installations and Outlook issue resolution.
• Provide “smart‑hands” support for networking equipment such as routers, switches, firewalls and cabling.
• Maintain ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Remedy) and document resolutions.
• Conduct repeat‑call analysis, problem management and develop preventive actions.
• Manage conference‑room equipment and printer fleet.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of hands‑on IT infrastructure field support.
• Ability to lift equipment up to 50 lb and work independently or within a team.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Associate Degree in Electronics and CompTIA A+ certification (or equivalent).

Required skills

• Windows, macOS and Linux operating systems.
• TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, RDP.
• Desktop imaging and application deployment.
• Printer and peripheral troubleshooting.
• Network hardware (routers, switches, firewalls) and LAN/WAN basics.
• Ticketing tools such as ServiceNow or Remedy.
