IT Infrastructure Director

About the role

The IT Infrastructure Director will ensure that all IT services are secure, reliable, scalable and cost‑effective while delivering an excellent employee experience. Reporting to senior leadership, the role combines strategic planning with hands‑on operational execution.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and continuously improve the company’s IT operations and digital workplace environment.
• Oversee onboarding, off‑boarding, device management, access management and end‑user support.
• Manage help‑desk and service‑management processes to maintain high service quality.
• Administer collaboration and productivity tools across the organisation.
• Drive employee‑experience enhancements through technology and automation.
• Partner with cybersecurity teams to uphold security and compliance standards.
• Control IT budgets, software licences, hardware assets and vendor relationships.
• Maintain governance of the application and SaaS portfolio, ensuring alignment with business needs.
• Handle software renewals, licensing, contracts and monitor vendor performance.
• Identify opportunities to simplify the technology stack and reduce costs.
• Collaborate with Finance on budgeting, forecasting and spend optimisation.
• Support business leaders in making effective technology decisions.

Required profile

• 8+ years of experience in IT infrastructure, operations, enterprise systems or digital workplace leadership.
• Proven track record in managing IT support, identity and access management, device lifecycle and SaaS governance.
• Experience in international, multi‑site or fast‑growing technology environments.
• Knowledge of automation and AI solutions in a corporate setting is highly desirable.
• Strong stakeholder management, leadership and communication skills.
• Ability to balance strategic planning with operational execution.
• Fluent English; additional languages are a plus.
