IT Onsite Support Engineer – Basel (Hybrid)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced IT Onsite Support Engineer to join our Basel team. The role combines on‑site user assistance with second‑ and third‑level troubleshooting in a large, complex environment of roughly 10,000 users. You will work closely with internal IT groups to keep services stable and efficient while providing occasional VIP support.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver 2nd and 3rd level workplace support on‑site, handling incidents in Microsoft Windows and Citrix environments.
• Manage IMACD processes (Install, Move, Add, Change, Remove) for hardware and software assets.
• Diagnose and resolve hardware and software problems, implementing sustainable fixes.
• Collaborate with internal IT teams to ensure smooth operations and support on‑call duties.
• Contribute to the optimisation of support processes and, optionally, assist with IT‑related projects.

Required profile

• Completed IT training or equivalent practical experience.
• Several years of workplace or onsite support experience in a complex enterprise setting.
• Strong service mindset, independent and structured working style, and excellent communication skills.
• Valid driving licence and German language proficiency at C1 level (additional languages a plus).
