IT Security Engineer (m/f/d) – Winterthur

About the role

The IT Security Engineer will design and evolve security solutions that protect a global infrastructure, including firewalls, EDR and NDR platforms. You will act as a security architecture expert and provide third‑level support to IT teams across countries.

Key responsibilities

• Design and evolve security solutions protecting the global infrastructure, including firewall estate and EDR/NDR platforms.
• Contribute to security architecture and serve as the point of expertise on network and infrastructure questions.
• Maintain central security components reliably and securely on a daily basis.
• Collaborate with IT teams in other countries and provide third‑level support.

Required profile

• Degree in computer science with a security focus or equivalent qualification.
• Several years of hands‑on security engineering experience, preferably in an international IT environment.
• Strong grounding in network technology and security tooling such as WAF, NGFW and NDR.
• Analytical mindset with enjoyment of troubleshooting complex faults.
• Fluent written and spoken German and English.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and participate in on‑call rotation.
• Independent and diligent working style.
