Junior Data Analyst – Medical Platform Operations

About the role

Our client, an international sports organisation in Switzerland, is developing a cutting‑edge medical platform. The Junior Data Analyst will support day‑to‑day reliability of the platform by gathering, validating and preparing high‑quality data for the medical unit.

Key responsibilities

• Support data collection and flow processes linked to the medical platform and related reporting.
• Perform routine data validation, cleaning and consistency checks to improve data reliability.
• Identify missing, implausible or inconsistent values and follow up with data contributors.
• Maintain documentation, field definitions, coding rules and standard operating procedures.
• Prepare clean, analysis‑ready datasets for senior colleagues.
• Assist in testing platform functionalities related to data entry, validation logic and output quality.
• Promote a culture of careful data stewardship and continuous quality improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in health sciences, sports science, epidemiology, data science, biostatistics or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Basic knowledge of human anatomy and musculoskeletal injuries.
• Strong attention to detail and interest in data quality.
• Initial experience through studies, internships or early professional roles in health or sports data handling.
• Fluent English; French and/or German an asset.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word and Outlook.
• Experience with at least one data‑analysis tool such as SPSS, R, Python, SQL or Tableau.
