Junior DevOps Engineer – Platform Team

About the role

Join Xelon’s growing Platform team as a Junior DevOps Engineer. This entry‑level position is designed for candidates who are eager to build solid DevOps fundamentals while working alongside seasoned engineers on a secure Swiss cloud infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Assist with platform operations, including patching, updates, backups, and certificate management.
• Support the deployment of new services and migrations, ensuring smooth roll‑outs and health checks.
• Help build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as Bitbucket Pipelines and ArgoCD.
• Develop and maintain Infrastructure‑as‑Code components with Kubernetes, Ansible, and Terraform.
• Contribute to monitoring and observability tooling (CheckMK, Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Prometheus, Sentry) and improve alerting.
• Support automated security checks (SAST, DAST, SCA) and ensure compliance with TLS/SSL, firewalls, and network policies.
• Create clear technical documentation and share knowledge across development and operations teams.
