Junior Trust Accountant (Geneva)

About the role

We are a dynamic, family‑run trust looking for a motivated Junior Trust Accountant to join our Geneva office. You will support the preparation of financial statements, interact with clients and regulators, and contribute to the smooth operation of our trust accounting services.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare financial statements for companies and trusts for audit or direct submission to clients and regulators.
• Manage client accounting, attend client meetings and explain accounting matters clearly.
• Supervise bookkeeping activities and provide technical guidance to junior staff.
• Resolve accounting discrepancies with Trust Managers, clients, and advisors.
• Prepare ad‑hoc cash‑flow reports, financial projections and periodic reporting.
• Process finalisation journals into accounting records.

Required profile

• ACCA qualification or equivalent.
• 1‑3 years of experience in offshore trust & company accounting; Swiss accounting experience is a plus.
• Understanding of Trust and Company Law, UK tax‑related matters and best practices.
• Excellent communication skills in English; French is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of double‑entry bookkeeping and foreign‑currency accounting.
• Proficiency with accounting software and advanced spreadsheet skills (Excel).
• Step certificate (a plus).
• Ability to prepare accounts for various structures such as property and investment entities.
