Key Account Manager

About the role

As a Key Account Manager within Amgen's Value, Access & Policy team, you will manage end‑to‑end partnerships across the full Amgen portfolio, building strong relationships with key account stakeholders in the Swiss hospital landscape.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as primary contact for assigned customers and develop long‑term relationships.
• Create and update strategic account plans, identify development opportunities, and lead price and contract negotiations.
• Gather insights on product evaluations and customer needs to adapt commercial strategies.
• Support product launches with hospital pharmacists, purchasers and wholesalers.
• Communicate healthcare policy, regulatory and reimbursement developments to customers.
• Partner with sales representatives for insight gathering and planning.
• Assist in organizing congresses and external events.

Required profile

• Completed business, medical or scientific education.
• Several years of experience as a sales representative or in key account management in the pharmaceutical industry.
• Strong analytical, strategic thinking and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent communication, presentation and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in cross‑functional teams.
• Good understanding of the Swiss healthcare system, hospital decision‑making and procurement structures.
• Fluency in German and English; French is an advantage.

Required skills

• Knowledge of pharmaceutical pricing, reimbursement and funding mechanisms in hospital settings.
