Lab Technician Biomechanics

About the role

Join the Experimental Biomechanics team at Nobel Biocare in Zurich as a Lab Technician Biomechanics. You will support the verification and characterization of innovative implant dentistry products in a modern R&D laboratory.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, conduct and document mechanical tests following SOPs, internal procedures and international standards.
• Analyze test results, perform basic statistical evaluations and produce clear technical reports.
• Support product verification activities within R&D projects and coordinate maintenance, calibration and qualification of lab equipment.
• Maintain laboratory infrastructure compliance with quality and regulatory requirements.
• Review, maintain and improve laboratory procedures and SOPs.
• Assist failure investigations using optical microscopy and, ideally, scanning electron microscopy (SEM).

Required profile

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Medical Technology, Mechatronics or related technical field (Dipl. Techniker/in HF/TS or equivalent).
• Hands‑on experience in mechanical testing and working in interdisciplinary project teams.
• Familiarity with ISO standards and Good Laboratory Practice (GLP).
• Fluent German and good English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
