Lab Technician – Molecular Biology

About the role

Adaptyv is building an automated laboratory where AI agents design and analyze biology experiments. We need a skilled Lab Technician to run molecular biology and protein production workflows, ensuring high‑quality, reproducible output for our protein engineering pipeline.

Key responsibilities

• Perform molecular cloning: PCR, Golden Gate and Gibson assembly, transformation, and colony screening.
• Run protein expression in bacterial and/or mammalian systems and carry out purification and quality control.
• Execute QC assays such as gel/capillary electrophoresis, Sanger sequencing, SDS‑PAGE.
• Conduct biophysical and functional assays (binding kinetics, thermostability) and help scale new assays.
• Prepare reagents, buffers, and reaction mixes following SOPs.
• Operate and support automated liquid‑handling and lab‑automation equipment.
• Track samples, inventory, and consumables to maintain uninterrupted lab operations.
• Document experimental parameters and results for reproducibility and data integrity.
• Assist in troubleshooting, optimizing, and scaling workflows.

Required profile

• BS or MS in Biology, Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, Biochemistry, Life‑Science Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of hands‑on laboratory experience in molecular biology.
