Laboratory Technician (Biology) – Cell Line Engineering

About the role

Join Cytosurge’s CellEDIT Process Development team to support cutting‑edge genome engineering using FluidFM technology. You will work hands‑on in a fast‑paced laboratory, handling mammalian cell cultures and molecular biology experiments.

Key responsibilities

• Passage, expand, cryopreserve and monitor mammalian cell cultures (cancer lines, iPSCs, suspension cells).
• Plan and execute molecular biology experiments, including DNA extraction, PCR, genotyping and sequencing.
• Troubleshoot experimental and technical issues and document results in the electronic lab notebook.
• Manage lab inventory, ordering, stocking and aliquoting of reagents.
• Communicate results and issues promptly to the team and provide wet‑lab support across projects.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship as a laboratory technician or a master’s degree in cell/molecular biology or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of hands‑on experience in a cell biology laboratory; industry experience is a plus.
• Strong organizational skills, diligent work ethic and ability to work independently.
• High proficiency in English, both written and spoken.

Required skills

• Mammalian cell culture (including iPSCs and suspension cells).
• DNA extraction, PCR, genotyping, Sanger and NGS sequencing.
• Use of electronic lab notebooks (ELN) for documentation.
• Problem‑solving and troubleshooting of experimental protocols.
