Laboratory Technician - In Vitro Digestion Platform

About the role

Nestlé Research is looking for a Laboratory Technician for its In Vitro Digestion Platform in Lausanne, Switzerland. The role is on site and full time, and involves planning, executing and following up laboratory experiments that advance research projects through high-quality, traceable data, working closely with technicians, research assistants, scientists, project leaders and external partners.

Key responsibilities

• Execute in vitro digestion experiments that generate reliable evidence for research projects.
• Prepare reagents and samples accurately to support consistent, high-quality results.
• Analyze data and communicate clear findings that help project teams decide.
• Ensure sample and data traceability while keeping laboratory practices safe and compliant.
• Improve laboratory methods by identifying opportunities, troubleshooting issues and implementing practical solutions.
• Build scientific knowledge and external connections to strengthen the platform's future capabilities.

Required profile

• Hands-on laboratory skills in biology and a rigorous approach to experimental procedures.
• Ability to apply quality standards to sample handling, data integrity, traceability and laboratory safety.
• Fluent English.
• Collaboration, curiosity, respect and a positive, wellbeing-oriented mindset.

Required skills

• Use of spreadsheet and presentation tools to manage data and communicate scientific results.
• Quick learning of new techniques and contribution to troubleshooting.
