Laboratory Technician – Innovative Chemical Processes

About the role

Proclinical is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support the development of innovative chemical processes and the supply of drug substances. The role involves high‑quality experimental work in a multidisciplinary, scientifically driven environment.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory experiments for chemical process development and manufacturing strategies.
• Analyze and communicate experimental data to project teams and manufacturing sites.
• Support process optimization, troubleshooting, and scale‑up activities, including pilot‑scale campaigns.
• Maintain accurate electronic laboratory records (eLN) and ensure compliance with safety, regulatory and Good Documentation Practices.
• Manage laboratory equipment, inventories, and infrastructure to keep the lab operational.

Required profile

• Completed apprenticeship or equivalent scientific/technical qualification as a Laboratory Technician.
• Practical experience in synthetic chemistry with a passion for hands‑on laboratory work.
• Strong understanding of laboratory safety standards and HSE requirements.
• Proficiency in German (working level) and English (strong written and spoken).
• Independent, detail‑oriented work style in a fast‑paced scientific environment.

Required skills

• Hands‑on expertise with standard synthesis and analytical equipment such as HPLC, GC, NMR, EasyMax and FlexyALR.
• Experience with electronic laboratory notebooks (eLN) and documentation compliance.
