Laboratory Technician – Metabolic Disease Research

About the role

Join a cutting‑edge research team focused on metabolic diseases such as obesity, gut microbiome disorders, hepatic steatosis and liver cancer. As a Laboratory Technician you will support daily laboratory operations and provide technical assistance across multiple research projects.

Key responsibilities

• Order and manage common laboratory consumables.
• Set up, calibrate and maintain laboratory equipment.
• Organise genotyping data and maintain diverse mouse colonies.
• Conduct experiments on rodents (mice and rats), including handling and sample collection.
• Assist researchers with molecular and cellular biology tasks as well as pharmacology assays.

Required profile

• Diploma as a biology laboratory technician, medical laboratory technician or equivalent (CFC).
• Strong sense of responsibility, motivation and adaptability within an international team.
• Good command of English.
• Proficiency with standard computer software (MS‑Office).
• Experience in molecular biology, cell biology or animal physiology is a plus.
