Lawyer - Financial Crime Compliance (Legal Financial Services)

About the role

EY's Legal & Financial Services, Regulatory & Compliance Practice works nationally and internationally on commercial law, with a focus on the financial services industry. This lawyer position in Zurich sits at the intersection of business, law and technology, focusing on Financial Crime Compliance and investigations.

Key responsibilities

• Work on projects at the interface of business, law and technology, focused on Financial Crime Compliance and investigations
• Advise leading national and international financial institutions on complex regulatory and financial crime matters
• Deliver pragmatic solutions to evolving compliance challenges
• Cooperate in an interdisciplinary way in a dynamic environment close to customers
• Build trusted customer relationships and deliver high-impact compliance projects

Required profile

• Master's degree in law; admission to the bar and/or further study such as a dissertation or LL.M. is a plus
• At least one year of professional experience in Financial Crime Compliance (money laundering and terrorist financing, sanctions, fraud, anti-bribery, corruption etc.) and/or investigation under Swiss or international law, at a bank, securities dealer, asset manager, insurance company or authority
• Solid interest in specialising in the financial market and willingness to support clients as a trusted partner
• Excellent German and English; other languages are a plus
