Lead Teacher – Full-Stack Software Development & AI

About the role

A partner company, represented by Jobgether, is looking for a Lead Teacher for a full-time freelance programme in Switzerland. The role delivers an intensive technology training course for university students, combining full-stack software engineering with AI development. You will teach remotely from an eligible location in Europe, working with an international team and teaching assistants, and will make three on-site trips to Baku, Azerbaijan.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver live lectures, demonstrations and coding sessions on full-stack development and AI-enabled engineering, about two hours of theory and two hours of guided labs each day
• Prepare daily lesson plans and adapt materials and pacing within the programme syllabus
• Supervise student teams on major collaborative projects, including the mid-bootcamp project and the final capstone
• Teach students how to use AI coding assistants responsibly, covering code generation, debugging, refactoring, testing, documentation and feature development, with emphasis on security, privacy and code quality
• Review assignments, administer assessments, give technical feedback and run Q&A sessions
• Work with the Teaching Assistant on practical sessions and with programme managers and client representatives on learning objectives and milestones
• Create an inclusive, collaborative classroom culture and help students complete their final projects and graduation activities

Required profile

• At least three years of professional experience in full-stack web development or software engineering
• Previous experience teaching or mentoring students in bootcamps, university programmes or similar technical training
• Fluent English at C1 level or above, as all teaching is done in English
• Availability for 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, and willingness to travel to Baku for three on-site events

Required skills

• Backend: Java fundamentals, Spring Boot, REST APIs, SQL (MySQL or PostgreSQL), JPA/Hibernate, Spring Security and JWT, microservices or messaging (RabbitMQ or Kafka)
• Frontend: JavaScript (ES6+), TypeScript, React, Next.js, HTML5 and CSS3
• DevOps: Git and GitHub, Docker and Docker Compose, CI/CD such as GitHub Actions, REST or GraphQL APIs
• Practical experience with AI coding assistants (GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Claude, Codeium) and awareness of their risks
