Legal Advisor - Direct Real Estate

About the role

Pictet Alternative Advisors (PAA), a subsidiary of Pictet, is looking for a Legal Advisor to join its Direct Real Estate team in Geneva. The team of 20 professionals supports Pictet's pan-European Direct Real Estate franchise, which includes Elevation Fund I (EUR 700 million), Elevation Fund II (launched 2023) and a Core Plus fund (approx. EUR 200 million). The team is spread across London, Geneva, Berlin and Stockholm, with fund support functions in Luxembourg and London.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the review, drafting and negotiation of real estate and financing documents, including shareholders' agreements, financing agreements, lease agreements, SPAs and construction agreements.
• Support direct real estate transactions from inception to closing, coordinating legal workstreams, managing negotiations and liaising with internal stakeholders and external advisers.
• Act as a key legal partner on cross-border matters, working with internal teams across jurisdictions on transaction status, documentation, payment mechanics and execution steps.
• Provide day-to-day legal support on asset management and project matters, with a practical, commercially minded approach.
• Lead and support legal documentation for development, construction and refurbishment, including preparing, revising and finalising project and works contracts.

Required profile

• 5 to 8 years after qualification in the real estate department of a major, reputable law firm, ideally completed by in-house experience.
• Experience leading acquisitions, disposals and financings beyond due diligence support or minor supporting roles.
• Experience on transactions in at least three different jurisdictions.
• Willingness to travel within Europe for business purposes.
• Fluent in English; French, Spanish, German or Danish is an asset.
• Resident in Switzerland or willing to relocate.
• Interest in and existing experience with AI tools for task and workflow automation.
