Linux Server Engineer (OpenShift)

About the role

SII Switzerland, an IT consulting and engineering services firm with offices in Geneva, Lausanne and Zurich, is recruiting a Linux Server Engineer for a long-term position based in Geneva. The role defines and evolves the technical architecture of the IT systems according to business needs, while keeping the infrastructure secure, compliant with corporate standards and performant. It starts in January and includes two days of remote work per week.

Key responsibilities

• Analyze the impact of new solutions and technologies on the existing architecture and advise development teams on technology choices and implementation.
• Maintain technical reference documents, standards, procedures and norms, and carry out technology monitoring with evolution recommendations.
• Install, deploy, administer and operate Linux server environments, ensuring they stay operational and evolve.
• Monitor infrastructure performance, propose optimizations, diagnose and lead the resolution of technical incidents.
• Manage server and application access rights and produce architectural deliverables such as architecture references, recommendation notes and technical documentation.

Required profile

• Confirmed experience as an OpenShift / Linux Server engineer.
• Expertise in OpenShift v4 and Linux RHEL 8/9 environments.
• Proficiency with Red Hat Ansible Automation Platform.
• Good knowledge of OAuth2 and Kerberos authentication protocols.
• Ability to work in a demanding and secure environment; French and English fluency required.
