Logistics Engineer – Distribution Packaging & Cold Chain

About the role

The Logistics Engineer will join the Global Distribution Packaging & Shipping Qualification team, acting as a Subject Matter Expert for distribution packaging, cold‑chain solutions, and shipping qualification. You will support the design, testing, and implementation of logistics solutions for temperature‑controlled supply chains worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Lead mid‑to‑high complexity improvement projects to enhance distribution capabilities and process efficiency.
• Develop, test, and implement complex distribution packaging solutions from design through qualification.
• Manage supplier relationships, RFPs, and vendor performance.
• Conduct lab testing, lane validation, and support audits, health‑authority inspections, and regulatory inquiries.
• Maintain Trackwise events, CAPAs, investigations, and support global change controls.

Required profile

• Organized, analytical, and compliance‑driven with strong communication skills.
• 5+ years experience in packaging, global logistics, or temperature‑controlled supply chain.
• Experience in regulated, GMP environments and knowledge of ASTM/ISTA standards.
• Ability to manage multiple projects in fast‑paced, high‑growth settings.

Required skills

• Packaging Science/Engineering knowledge (BS/BA preferred).
• Cold‑chain logistics, transportation, and packaging expertise.
• GMP compliance, failure‑mode analysis (Ishikawa, 5‑why).
• Technical writing and strong Microsoft Word proficiency.
• Lean Six Sigma/Green Belt (preferred), MS Project, PowerPoint.
