M&A Opportunity Sourcer – Europe & US

About the role

We are seeking an M&A Opportunity Sourcer to identify, evaluate, and qualify acquisition targets across European and US markets. Working in a fast‑growing e‑commerce environment, you will support senior leadership and the CEO by providing structured market insights and clear investment rationales.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct initial sourcing of potential acquisition targets using digital research tools, databases, marketplaces, and online intelligence platforms.
• Perform deep qualitative evaluation of target companies, analysing business models, ownership structures, capabilities, and strategic fit.
• Apply strong filtering and prioritisation to surface a small number of high‑conviction opportunities.
• Develop concise deal briefs summarising strategic fit, risks, and rationale for each shortlisted target.
• Draft professional founder‑to‑founder outreach communications for executive review.
• Maintain and refine opportunity pipelines, ensuring only high‑quality prospects reach leadership review.
• Build broader market maps and industry overviews to support long‑term M&A strategy.
• Collaborate directly with the CEO to align sourcing efforts with strategic acquisition priorities.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in structured deal sourcing, investment research, M&A origination, venture capital, private equity, strategic sourcing or procurement.
• Strong business judgement and the ability to quickly assess company quality and strategic fit.
• Advanced research skills with experience using LinkedIn, databases, industry directories and web intelligence tools.
• High proficiency in written English and the ability to produce clear, analytical business summaries.
• Comfortable using AI tools, automation platforms, or data‑driven workflows to accelerate research.
• Strong autonomy, organisational skills and the ability to work independently.
• Analytical mindset with meticulous attention to detail.
