Manager, Commercial Performance and Optimisation

About the role

As a Performance and Optimisation Manager you will drive commercial performance across MSC Cruises' fleet by turning complex data into strategic insights and actionable recommendations.

Key responsibilities

• Develop driver‑based performance and economic models linking deployment and itinerary choices to revenue, costs, fuel, emissions and asset utilisation.
• Monitor performance by ship, itinerary, region and season using consistent KPIs and identify gaps, root causes and optimisation opportunities.
• Support scenario evaluation, post‑implementation reviews and benchmark performance across ships, regions and seasons.
• Maintain a quantified optimisation opportunity pipeline and track expected value, ownership, implementation and realised benefits.
• Partner with Finance and Revenue Management to ensure consistency of assumptions, metric definitions and benefit validation.

Required profile

• Degree in Economics, Finance, Business Analytics, Hospitality, Marketing or related field.
• 5‑8 years of commercial analytics, revenue management or performance improvement experience.
• Strong understanding of guest behaviour, revenue drivers, conversion, yield and service profitability.
• Fluent English and the right to work in Switzerland.

Required skills

• Advanced Power BI experience.
• Strong SQL knowledge.
• Python (advantageous) and statistical analysis tools.
