Manager, Field Engineering – Polish speaker

About the role

As a Field Engineering Manager you will lead and scale a high‑performing team of technical pre‑sales Solutions Architects and Engineers across Eastern Europe. You will work at the intersection of complex cloud architecture and enterprise business value, driving Databricks’ market expansion and customer acceleration in the region.

Key responsibilities

• Hire, onboard, and mentor a top‑tier pre‑sales engineering team, ensuring continuous technical enablement on the Databricks Data Intelligence Platform.
• Partner with Enterprise Sales leadership to forecast, qualify, and accelerate enterprise sales cycles, linking technical validations to long‑term consumption and ROI.
• Establish repeatable pre‑sales methodologies that shift conversations from feature lists to strategic business outcomes, positioning the team as trusted advisors to CTOs, CDOs and Chief AI Officers.
• Engage with regional System Integrators and Cloud Service Providers to secure reference architectures, co‑selling motions and downstream implementation strategies.

Required profile

• Proven track record of building, coaching and scaling technical pre‑sales or solutions architecture teams in a hyper‑growth SaaS or Cloud environment.
• Deep domain expertise as a practitioner or consultant in at least one core technical area (e.g., data engineering, AI, cloud platforms).
• Strong commercial acumen with hands‑on understanding of consumption‑driven SaaS business models and deal‑qualification frameworks such as MEDDPICC.
• Professional fluency in English; fluency in Polish or another Eastern European language is strongly preferred.

Required skills

• AWS, Microsoft Azure, Google Cloud Platform (multi‑cloud expertise).
• Databricks Data + AI platform and modern data architecture design.
• Experience with SaaS consumption modeling and technical pipeline management.
• Ability to translate complex distributed systems concepts into clear executive business drivers.
