About the role

The Manager, Platform Manager, PLM leads the Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) technology platform for DePuy Synthes R&D. This hybrid role ensures the platform supports compliant, efficient, and scalable product development across multiple locations.

Key responsibilities

• Own end‑to‑end PLM platform operations, guaranteeing stability, security, and regulatory compliance.
• Define and execute PLM strategy and roadmap aligned with R&D, Quality, and enterprise IT goals.
• Partner with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Manufacturing and Supply Chain to translate business needs into PLM solutions.
• Lead platform enhancements, system integrations, upgrades and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Manage vendor relationships, service delivery and budget for PLM technologies.
• Coach and develop a high‑performing technology team, fostering collaboration and accountability.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Engineering, Computer Science or related field; Master’s preferred.
• 6‑8 years of progressive experience supporting R&D or product development with PLM platforms.
• Strong understanding of regulated product development, design controls, change management and data traceability.
• Proven leadership experience, including people management and inclusive team building.
• Excellent communication skills in a global, cross‑functional environment.

Required skills

• Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) platform ownership, configuration, integration and upgrade.
• Knowledge of PLM‑ERP, QMS, CAD and manufacturing system integrations.
• Experience with cloud‑based PLM architectures and enterprise data governance.
• Vendor management, budgeting and service‑level agreement oversight.
• Regulatory compliance, cybersecurity and data governance for medical devices.
