Manufacturing Engineer / Process Planning (f/m/d)

About the role

GE Vernova's Gas Power business unit is hiring a Manufacturing Engineer in its Manufacturing Engineering department (Hot Gas Parts/New Parts) at the production site in Birr. You will provide technical support to both production and engineering teams and drive competitiveness through process and cost optimization.

Key responsibilities

• Create and maintain the manufacturing Bill of Materials (mBOM) in the PLM system and integrate it with the ERP system
• Define and maintain routing steps, work instructions and production cycle times for complex gas turbine components
• Perform cost comparisons and support annual standard price updates
• Coordinate PLM part definition changes and manage master data for tooling, fixtures and consumables in the ERP system
• Drive initiatives to optimise Safety, Quality, Delivery and Cost (SQDC)
• Support the onboarding of junior team members and act as the main link between Design Engineering, Procurement and the shop floor

Required profile

• Technical vocational training (Swiss EFZ or equivalent), ideally as a Polymechanic or Design Engineer, or relevant experience
• Further education in a technical or management field (e.g. HF Technician, Process Specialist, B.Sc. in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering) or equivalent knowledge and experience
• Proven experience with PLM systems (Teamcenter or Enovia) and ERP systems (SAP)
• Experience in manufacturing, operations or Hot Gas Path (HGP) engineering
• Ability to read complex technical drawings, specifications and quality documentation; knowledge of Lean/Continuous Improvement methods
• German and English proficiency
