Manufacturing Process Expert – Drug Product

About the role

Lonza is seeking a Manufacturing Process Expert for Drug Product operations in Visp, Switzerland. You will act as a Subject Matter Expert, providing front‑line technical support to the shop floor while ensuring compliance with cGMP guidelines.

Key responsibilities

• Execute manufacturing activities for drug product batches, evaluate data, troubleshoot issues and recommend resolutions.
• Prepare and review electronic batch records and other GMP documentation.
• Drive optimization and improvement projects, manage investigations, deviations and CAPA activities.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams, engineers, QA and act as a resource for other departments.

Required profile

• Bachelor or Master degree in Pharmaceutical Technology, Chemistry, Pharmacy or related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in sterile manufacturing (compounding, filtration, steam sterilization, single‑use systems).
• Fluent in English; German is a plus.
• Strong communication, structured and proactive work attitude.

• Electronic batch record systems and GMP software (Trackwise, SAP, MES).
