Mechanical Designer – Robotics & Pipeline Inspection

About the role

Join ROSEN's development team in Stans as a Mechanical Designer. You will work with a small interdisciplinary group to deliver customer‑specific robotic and free‑floating inspection equipment for oil, gas and hydrogen pipelines.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and construct project‑specific solutions for pipeline inspection equipment.
• Collaborate on the design of complete systems, subsystems, assemblies and individual parts.
• Specify, evaluate and document all necessary tests.
• Create production‑ready drawings and parts lists for in‑house manufacturing.
• Support the team with product‑specific regulatory, standards and risk‑assessment issues.
• Execute internal tests on the test site.

Required profile

• Completed studies in mechanical engineering, mechatronics or a comparable field.
• Minimum 5 years of professional design experience.
• Independent, self‑reliant work style with strong teamwork abilities.
• Good communication skills and fluency in English; German is a plus.

Required skills

• Proficiency with 3D CAD systems, specifically SolidWorks.
