Mechanical Engineer – Full-time

About the role

We are seeking a Mechanical Engineer to join our production team in Worben, Canton Bern. You will support the development and scaling of our innovative encapsulation lines that enable alcohol‑free fine fragrances for the cosmetics market. The role combines hands‑on maintenance with design work to continuously improve equipment performance and environmental impact.

Key responsibilities

• Perform planned maintenance on encapsulation lines and document procedures.
• Investigate mechanical failures and resolve unexpected maintenance issues.
• Design components and sub‑assemblies to enhance equipment reliability and capacity.
• Research feasibility of process change requests and propose improvements.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams, including external experts, on automation and ERP integration projects.

Required profile

• Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• At least 2 years of experience in an industrial environment.
• Work permit for Switzerland and fluency in spoken and written English.
• Proven ability to work in a fast‑growing process‑technology company.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Autodesk Inventor or equivalent 3D‑CAD software.
• Experience preparing technical documentation.
• Hands‑on expertise in machinery assembly, commissioning and maintenance.
• Project management and automation project experience.
• Solid understanding of ERP systems.
