Mechanical Production Engineer - Work Preparation Group

About the role

A Mechanical Production Engineer is needed in the Work Preparation group, based at the hangar facilities of EuroAirport Basel-Mulhouse-Freiburg. The role covers production work preparation, engineering data administration and liaison between engineering, production and logistics, within the scope of the Design Organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Work according to the DO-Handbook, PO-Handbook, MOE and other AMAC specifications, applying certification basis, rules, means of compliance and interpretations correctly.
• Design and engineering within the scope of the Design Organisation, and act as Mechanical Production Engineer for the Work Preparation Group.
• Handle production work preparation and support, such as implementing PCR production change requests.
• Process and archive engineering manufacturing data (WO in AMOS, engineering tracking tool updates, manufacturing tracing tags).
• Manage material information (ordering, standard parts, quantity management) and interface with the logistics department.
• Support the Mechanical Production Engineering Manager and liaise with engineering, production and third parties.
• Check and process drawings and Engineering Change Orders, and follow up Workpackage / WO closure with EASA Form 1 and statements of conformity.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years' experience in a production environment, preferably in aviation.
• Aviation or engineering degree or similar qualification is an advantage.
• Good English; German or French is an advantage.
• Proactive, project-oriented, dedicated to quality, reliability and safety.

Required skills

• Deep understanding of production planning and preparation.
• Computer literacy with MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• ERP experience, preferably AMOS.
