Medical Science Liaison – Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic (French‑speaking Switzerland)

About the role

The Medical Science Liaison (MSL) in the Cardio‑Renal‑Metabolic therapeutic area will act as the primary scientific interface between Boehringer Ingelheim and healthcare professionals across French‑speaking Switzerland. You will promote scientific exchange, support safe product use, and contribute to medical education.

Key responsibilities

• Serve as the main contact for clinicians and specialist centres in Switzerland.
• Drive cross‑functional projects with Marketing, Medical Affairs, Sales and Market Access teams.
• Provide medical‑scientific support for upcoming product approvals and indications.
• Communicate latest clinical study results and product characteristics to the specialist audience.
• Design and deliver workshops, symposia and training sessions.
• Engage with regional advisory boards and ensure successful event execution.
• Collaborate with internal teams to select appropriate clinical trial sites.
• Represent the company at national and international professional congresses.

Required profile

• Completed medical or scientific degree, preferably a PhD or MD.
• Several years of experience in Medical Affairs, clinical research or related scientific advisory roles.
• Strong knowledge of the cardio‑renal‑metabolic therapeutic area and solid product/literature expertise.
• Excellent communication skills, empathy and ability to work independently.
• Cooperative, goal‑oriented mindset with strong organizational talents.
• Willingness to travel frequently.
• Understanding of Swiss pharmaceutical regulations and compliance.
• Fluent in French and English (German/Italian a plus).
