MES Business Unit Lead

About the role

Johnson & Johnson is looking for an MES Business Unit Lead in Schaffhausen, Switzerland, within its Innovative Medicine project/program management group. The role is accountable for the successful deployment, adoption and operational readiness of the Next Generation Manufacturing Execution System (NGMES) at Schaffhausen Synthetics Manufacturing API, integrating Operations, Quality, Technical Design and Deployment teams to deliver a business-ready MES solution.

Key responsibilities

• Own end-to-end MES deployment within Schaffhausen Synthetics Manufacturing API
• Lead deployment planning, scope, roadmap, rollout waves and resource alignment
• Align Operations, Quality, Business Owners, Technical Leads and delivery teams
• Drive fit-gap assessments and process harmonization activities
• Coordinate Modeling, Equipment Integration, Verification, Training and Documentation workstreams
• Ensure business readiness, operational readiness and go-live preparedness
• Manage risks, issues, decisions and escalations
• Lead stakeholder engagement and change adoption activities
• Prepare governance materials and recommendations for leadership forums
• Support continuous improvement and MES standardization

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Engineering, Life Sciences, IT, Manufacturing or a related field
• Experience in pharmaceutical manufacturing, quality, engineering, digital manufacturing or MES
• Leadership experience in cross-functional deployment or transformation programs
• Strong understanding of GMP requirements and regulated environments
• Fluent English required; German preferred
