MES & Data Consultant – Pre-Sales

About the role

AG Solution, a Quariq Group company and European Industry 4.0 partner, is looking for a MES and data consultant who bridges technical and commercial sides. About half the time you help clients decide to move forward; the other half you help them succeed after the deal. The role serves manufacturers across Wallonia, France and French-speaking Switzerland.

Key responsibilities

• Pre-sales and business development (approx. 50%): join sales calls and meetings early, turn operational pain points into a credible MES/data story, and build business cases quantifying value such as tracking and tracing, OEE, scheduling or quality control.
• Contribute to proposals, RFPs and scoping documents, run discovery workshops to map current processes, and prepare and deliver demos or proof-of-concepts.
• Solution design and delivery (approx. 50%): define functional specifications, process maps, data flows and integration points with automation and ERP/LIMS; support implementation with configuration, testing, validation and deployment.
• Guide clients on their digital transformation roadmap, train and support end-users, and monitor KPIs (quality, throughput, efficiency, downtime, compliance) to prove impact.

Required profile

• Commercial comfort: able to own a business case end-to-end, handle "no" or "not yet", and adapt the pitch.
• Strong communication skills, fluent in French and English.
• Experience supporting bids, RFPs or solution scoping, and MES implementation projects (configuration, design, testing, commissioning).

Required skills

• MES platforms such as Siemens Opcenter, Werum PAS-X, Rockwell FTPC, Ignition, Aveva, TrakSYS or similar.
• Understanding of manufacturing processes, ideally in pharma, food, chemicals, consumer goods or discrete manufacturing.
• Ability to read data flows between MES, automation (PLC/SCADA) and higher-level systems (ERP, LIMS), and a grasp of dashboards, KPI reporting and early IIoT or cloud integration.
• Nice to have: industrial IT/OT basics and hands-on PLC/SCADA configuration or engineering experience.
