MES (PAS‑X) Consultant – Pharmaceutical Manufacturing

About the role

We are seeking an experienced MES (PAS‑X) Consultant to lead the upgrade and optimisation of a Manufacturing Execution System for a pharmaceutical client. The role is based in Basel and involves working within a highly regulated life‑sciences environment.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support and execute a version upgrade of the Koerber PAS‑X MES system.
• Analyse the current landscape, assess upgrade impacts on GMBRs, configuration, functionalities and interfaces.
• Perform system configuration, customisation and integration with existing IT/OT architectures.
• Plan and execute computer system validation (CSV) activities in line with GxP requirements, including preparation of URS, FS/DS, IQ/OQ/PQ documents.
• Design, execute and document test cases, risk assessments and Site Acceptance Tests.
• Lead cut‑over planning, go‑live support and post‑implementation hyper‑care.
• Troubleshoot issues and conduct root‑cause analysis in the MES environment.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Life Sciences or a comparable qualification.
• Solid experience in MES environments, specifically with PAS‑X.
• Proven track record of system upgrades, migrations and CSV in GxP‑regulated settings.
• Strong analytical mindset and a quality‑focused working style.
• Fluent English; German is a plus.

• Integration experience with SAP, eLIMS and Aveva PI.
• Interface technologies and system configuration.
